The Vanguard Initiative has announced some of the details for VInnovate 2025, which is a programme for facilitating and promoting innovative working and co-operation between institutions across Europe.
The Vanguard Initiative is an alliance of some of the most advanced industrial regions in Europe. The aim of the venture is to encourage industrial innovation and partnerships between different regions who specialise in different areas that can therefore help each other grow. By helping businesses and institutions to share knowledge, expertise and resources across different regions the Vanguard initiative is an attempt to improve inter regional co-operation and increase investment in these regions.
The VInnovate 2025 programme gives Welsh institutions the opportunity to take part in this work with partners from across Europe. To qualify for the programme successful projects will need to develop answers that will support:
- Smarter industry that integrates digital technologies into industries in order to create new opportunities and improve existing ones.
- Sustainable industry that helps the move towards net zero.
- More sustainable industry that reduces dependency on other regions for deep-tech innovations.
