Ken Skates MS, the interim leader of Welsh Labour has appointed a new Senedd team.
Ken Skates MS took over as interim leader last month, following the resignation of former first minister Eluned Morgan who failed to win a seat. Welsh Labour will unveil a permanent leader at the party’s Welsh conference in Llandudno in November, with nominations opening in September. At present, there is no contender to stand against Ken Skates MS.
Welsh Labour have nine seats in the newly elected Senedd, behind Plaid Cymru and Reform, following losing power in Wales for the first time since devolution was established back in 1999.
The party said the new team drew on “extensive experience with fresh energy and ideas” and would hold the new Welsh administration to account.
