Community Academy aims to broaden access to fintech careers in Wales

FinTech Wales has launched a new Community Academy in partnership with leading Welsh fintech employers to help young people aged 18–19 who are not in education, employment or training gain paid, hands-on experience, as well as a nationally recognised qualification.

Key points:

  • Provides paid workplace experience plus a Level 2 Agored Award in digital skills through ACT Training.
  • Placements with notable employers including Monmouthshire Building Society, Hodge Bank, Creditsafe and Final Rentals.
  • Designed to broaden access, build industry talent pipelines and tackle skills shortages in Wales’ fintech ecosystem.
