Community Energy Wales have launched a new development forum called Fforwm Datblygu that will provide their members and the public to come together with experts and practitioners in renewable energy generation to discuss the future of the field.
The forum will meet four time a year so that the various stakeholders of the energy sector in Wales can share their experiences, knowledge and opinions on the latest developments in the field.
Leanne Wood, co-executive director of Community Energy Wales said:
‘Community Energy Wales is helping to build a network of renewable energy assets owned by our communities. Community ownership of green energy generation brings economic, social, wellbeing and environmental benefits. It also has the potential to help people become resilient to future energy price shocks. Become part of our new Fforwm Datblygu to find out how you can help to renew, regenerate and future-proof your community, as well as take practical action on climate change.’
The first session will be held on 18 July between 10:30 and 12:30.
