A short film posted by New Scientist shows that Teifi Wetlands are under increasing threat from river pollution.
In the film Madeline Cuff from New Scientist interviews Nathan Walton from the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales who says that the problems seemingly arise from agricultural waste in the form of slurry entering the water from adjoining fields as well as sewage discharges released into the river by water companies.
The film comes among increasingly vocal calls on water companies and the governments of the UK to do more to ensure biodiversity and cleanliness in our rivers following various media reports regarding their poor condition.
