The Food, Farming and Countryside Commission have launched a wide-ranging consultation in order to share the views of the public with policymakers and businesses ahead of the next general election.
The Commission has outlined that the first phase will begin through a postcode lottery of 24,000 invitations sent out to randomly selected addresses in Birmingham and Cambridgeshire. A representative group will then meet in each area over a three-week period in order to allow an open discussion and hear from various groups and individuals who are involved in food production.
