The Food and Farming & Countryside Commission has published a Farming for Change: mapping a route to 2030 report. The report introduces new research showing agroecology can produce enough healthy food for a future UK population, and explores how this new technical modelling challenges and develops our thinking about a new food and farming system.
The commission’s report also looks at how we can feed a growing population in a sustainable manner, and how agriculture can respond to climate change and create a resilient, secure, and fair farming system.
Research from the report gives a better understanding of how to tackle some of these challenges in order to grow enough healthy food for a future population while creating a greener and sustainable future.
